VTiger CRM stores your company’s contacts and accounts. When the VTiger integration is enabled, GLAC Quote Tool searches CRM automatically as you type in the Client Lookup section — giving you access to your full contact database without switching applications.

How VTiger results appear

When you search in Section 0 (Client Lookup), results from VTiger CRM appear as cards with a yellow CRM badge in the top-right corner. This badge distinguishes CRM results from Data Warehouse results (blue Warehouse badge) and Jira results (purple Jira badge). Each CRM card shows:
  • CRM Organization Name — the account the contact belongs to
  • Contact name — the contact’s full name as stored in CRM
  • Email address — the contact’s primary email

Search modes

VTiger CRM supports two ways to find a client.

Search by email

Type the client’s email address into the email lookup field. The tool searches the Contacts module for an exact match and returns the contact’s name, organization, and email address.

Search by organization name

Type a company name into the organization name field. The tool searches CRM Accounts using a partial match, so you do not need to type the full company name. For each matching account, up to five associated contacts are returned.

Smart matching

CRM results are filtered so you only see relevant matches. The tool removes false positives caused by generic company suffixes. For example, searching for “ZTEK Tech” will not return unrelated companies that only share common words like “Pte” or “Ltd” — only organizations whose meaningful words overlap with your query are shown.
VTiger CRM search is read-only. No data is written back to CRM from GLAC Quote Tool. Selecting a CRM result only populates the quote form in this tool — it does not create or modify any record in VTiger.
If VTiger results don’t appear during client search, the integration may not be configured for your deployment. Contact your administrator to verify that the VTiger CRM integration is enabled.
